There are so many things that contribute to Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs).
As you can imagine, drinking and driving is one of them.
Here are five reasons you should never drink before you drive.
It impairs your judgement- Decision making is an integral part of driving, thus, driving without this (i.e. driving under the influence of alcohol), makes one prone to accidents.
Reduces your ability to react- Sometimes, there are unexpected situations, like a child running into the street or a dog sleeping in the middle of the road. When this happens, while the driver is under the influence of alcohol, he/she is unable to respond as quickly as necessary. This could lead to an accident or death.
Affects your body’s reactive skills.
Empowers the driver- A drunk driver is prone to making decisions, fuelled by a false sense of confidence, provided by the alcohol.
Blurs the vision.
