Music titan Terry G is 29 today. Born as Gabriel Oche Amanyi at the Food Basket Of The Nation, Benue state on March 17th 1986. Gabriel might not go down as a music legend but his impact in the music industry is second to not many people.

He successfully carved a different niche for himself and his sound is like no other in the music industry.Terry G is also very talented. He produces, writes, singes, directs and even plays several music instrument. Not many new school artistes can do half of the things he does.

His sounds are for the street, 100% but over the time those who don’t belong there have been able to relate to his uptempo and often “spiritual” songs. We look at 5 of his many street bangers that stand out.

Troway: Troway (Throw Away) was lifted off Terry G’s album Ginjah Ur Swaggah. Trowey is an uptempo single that has a meaning to it. It urges people to throw away their problems and their enemies.

Free Madness Part 1 & 2: Free Madness came in two parts and the two songs took Nigerian street apart. You can barely hear what Terry G was saying on the two songs but majority of Nigerian music fans (at the time it was released) can sing along with him .
