10 Famous Nigerian Artists We Missed In 2015

2015 produced another year of good music; from King Kong, Bobo, Duro, Godwin, Lagos Boys, Indomie, Local Rappers, 69 Missed Calls, Sade, Orente, Reggae Blues, Jantamanta, Shuperu, Dodo and many more. Many top Nigerian artists and their record labels represented. Still, there were some who were radio silent. Take a look at some top artists who were completely missing in action.

1. Faze

He might not be at the level of his old Plantashun Boiz mate 2Face Idibia, but Faze is not relenting on his music as he has released some mind-blowing singles and album. However, 2015 didn’t see much of the Originality crooner. We hope he will come back stronger come 2016.
2. Zeez
After Forkasibe and Bobby, DJ Zeez earned a fan following in Nigeria. However, his follow up efforts were not as big as the previous ones. After a break, he came back with ‘Atewo’ featuring Olamide.
3. Minjin
He was expected to raise the bar after leaving Kennis Music but so far seems not to be doing much. We hope he would rise to the challenge and come back stronger in 2016.
4. Eldee Tha Don
Although he is a household name in the industry being one of the pioneers of contemporary Nigerian music but 2015 didn’t see much of Eldee except at some selected events and shows. Will Eldee make a comeback? 2016 is just some weeks away.
5. Tunde Ednut
He came to the fore few years back with some breathtaking singles like Catching Cold and ‘Baby Boo’ but couldn’t follow the efforts. 2015 was completely dry for the singer who has had his own fair share of fanbase in the industry.
6. Omawumi
She is one of the leading female artistes in the country but 2015 hasn’t seen much of the Megbele singer, no thanks to her 2014 pregnancy and eventual childbirth. Her Hello cover in November, however, almost created a controversy when Sean Tizzle rated it higher than the original sung by British singer Adele. But she wasn’t in the forefront in 2015 and we hope to see her back at the gigs next year.
7. BOJ
He won the Headies in 2014 for the Best Alternative Song category with hi single Bolaji, but BOJ seemed to have soft pedaled in 2015 to the dismay of his fans.

8. Puccado
The Aristocrat Entertainment act has not done much to get in the headlines in 2015 having impressed with Ukwu Nka in 2015. We feel there is something going on in his camp that warrants the unusual silence. We hope to see him back in 2016.
9. Mocheddah
It might surprise many having the rapper/singer make this list since she released Bad with Olamide this year. But the Koma Roll singer did not really impress in 2015. We didn’t see her at major shows. We hope she does more come 2015.
10. Ajebutter
Although he has his unique style of music with selected audience but he hasn’t impressed like he did in previous years. The Omo Pastor singer is expected to turn the tide come next year.
