20 Nigerian Hip Pop Artists That Collaborated With Foreign Artists That Rocked 2015


In 2015, many Nigerian music acts stepped up their games with different collaborations with foreign acts expanding their coasts, making the Nigerian music industry one of the biggest in the world at the moment.

(20) Ayo Jay – Your Number (Remix) ft. Fetty Wap


One Nation signee, Ayo Jay in July 2015 dropped dropped a massive single, the remix of his previous jam, ‘Your Number’ featuring American act Fetty Wap, this really nice joint was produced by Melvitto.

(19) Yemi Alade – Kissing (Remix) ft. Marvin


Yemi Alade had soulful Afro-Caribbean music star, Marvin, hop on the french remix of her hit song, Kissing off her ‘King of Queens’ album.

The song was sung almost entirely in French and originally produced by Fliptyce and guitar by Fiokee.


(18) Kcee – Love Boat ft. Diamond Platnumz

Five Star Music signed singer, Kcee recorded and released a nice song with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, titled “Love Boat”. Yet another international collaboration worthy of recognition.

Eric Manny signee who dropped his debut album in the last quarter of 2015, had a song on the album titled “Money Bag” on which he featured American star, Dj Khaled.

16) Olu Maintain – Nawti (Baddest Remix Ever) ft. Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Cynthia Morgan, Vicotria Kimani, Emma Nyra


Veteran singer, Olu Maintain had an all-female remix for his hit single, “Nawti”, he featured Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Cynthia Morgan, Emma Nyra and Kenyan singing sensation, Vicotria Kimani.

This song is undoubtedly one of the best international collaborations in 2015.


(15) Dj Neptune – Baddest ft Olamide, StoneBwoy & BOJ


Superstar international Dj Neptune on his birthday dropped a single titled “Baddest” featuring Nigerian rapper, Olamide, Ghanaian finest and Bet award winner, Stonebwoy, and singer BOJ.

The Pheelz-produced song is another international collaboration that was massive in 2015.

(14) Waje – Coco Baby ft Diamond Platnumz


One of Nigeria’s top female vocalist, Waje has so far had a wonderful year releasing well-received and appreciated songs, one of which is her collaboration with Tanzanian singeing sensation, Diamond Platnumz titled “Coco Baby” produced by E-Kelly.

(13) Ice Prince & Sarkodie – For Days (Prod. By DJ Cuppy)


Nigerian rapper cum singer, Ice Prince and his Ghanaian counterpart, Sarkodie few days back released the Dj Cuppy produced tune they hopped on and it is titled, “For Days”.

Although this song was released just a couple of a days ago it has so far enjoyed massive acceptance becoming the talk of the town both on the Nigerian and Ghanaian music scene.

Legendary Nigerian singer, D’banj and his Senegalese counterpart both jumped on a song together titled, “Frosh” one song that disturbed and is still disturbing airwaves, yet another good international collaboration.

(11) Iyanya – Nakupenda ft Diamond Platnumz


Iyanya and Diamond Platnumz really gelled together on one of the biggest international collaborations of 2015, “Nakupenda” with the duo delivering wonderfully on the Mr Chidoo produced joint, which was recorded in Tanzania.

(10) Wizkid X Uhuru – Duze


Nigerian music golden boy, Wizkid had so far had a good year, and of the highest points of his career in 2015 was is international collaboration with, the four-man South African music group, Uhuru titled, “Duze”

Nigerian songstress, Yemi Alade in 2015 released a massive pan-african hit “Pose”, which features Mugeez of top Ghana duo R2Bees.

(7) Davido – The Sound ft Uhuru & Dj Buckz

(6) D’banj – Confidential ft. Driis & Shadow Boxer


Nigerian music heavyweight, D’banj a.k.a Bangalee released a joint with Driis and Shadow Boxer titled, “Confidential” one song that since its release has been an anthem.

(5) Darey – Pray For Me ft Soweto Gospel Choir


Top singer, Darey featured the five-time Grammy award nominated, two-time Grammy award winning and one Emmy award winning Soweto Gospel Choir, on a massive and deep song off his “Naked” album titled, “Pray For Me”.


(4) Vector – King Kong (Remix) ft. Sarkodie


Without doubt one of Africa’s best rappers, Vector featured his fellow rapper from Ghana, Sarkodie on the remix of his joint that trended for the most of 2015, “King Kong”

Davido’s “Fans Mi” single featuring ace American rapper, Meek Mill is without an ounce of doubt one of the biggest international collaborations in Africa this year. The Shizzi-produced tune is a really great song that deserves every accolade its getting.

Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba (Remix)” which features top American rapper, Drake and Skepta is undeniably one of the best songs and international collaborations in the whole of Africa and in fact the world in 2015. This song brought Wizkid even more international recognition.
