Natural Ways To Rid Yourself Of Unwanted Facial Hair

Every woman wants her face to look beautiful, soft and smooth and without any facial hair. Growth of facial hairs is natural. However, when there is excess growth of hair on neck, chin, on the upper lips, cheeks or forehead, it causes embarrassment and it affects the confidence of the person.

The reason for excess growth of facial hair includes changes in hormonal levels in the body, irregular menstrual cycle, some medications and due to hormonal changes during pregnancy.

This excessive hair growth (also called hirsutism) is usually due to hormonal problems, such women need to use a lot of options like bleaching, waxing, threading or shaving very regularly to get rid of the unwanted hair. Here are a few chemical-free home remedies that can help you deal with this problem:

Sugar mix: With a home-made wax-like substance, it is possible to remove facial hair quite effectively; however, you need to be prepared for the process to get a little messy and maybe even painful. The molten sugar in this recipe provides the stickiness; honey and lemon act as bleach as well as help to soothe the skin. Take about a tablespoon of sugar in a vessel, add in a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon juice; heat this lightly or microwave for about 3 minutes and mix to get a smooth paste. When the paste is still slightly warm, apply it to the part of the face from where you need to pluck the hair. Cover the area with a strip of cloth and immediately pull the cloth in the direction opposite to that in which the hair is growing.

Tumeric: Besides being good for the complexion and the antibacterial effect, turmeric is also said to have the property of curbing hair growth. Make a fluid paste by soaking turmeric powder in water, apply to the facial area where you have excess hair and leave on for a few minutes. After it dries, use a cloth dipped in warm water to wipe away the turmeric and the hair, too.

Egg mask: This is another remedy that works to pull off the hair in an action similar to waxing is the egg mask, this is quite easy to try at home because all ingredients are easily available. Take the white of one egg, add in 1 tablespoon of sugar and half a tablespoon of corn flour. Beat to make a smooth paste and apply this to the portion of your face that has unwanted hair. Once it dries, it will take on the appearance of a thin mask covering your face; all you have to do is pull it off firmly and the hair will get pulled out, too.

Orange and lemon peel facial mask: It is a very popular ingredient that helps in cleansing the skin and gives it a toned look, the orange peel has higher concentrations of Vitamin C like the lemon juice and lemon peels. Both, orange peel and lemon peel are natural exfoliating agents that will help in easily getting rid of unwanted facial hair. Mix all the powder ingredients like oatmeal, dried orange and lemon peel powders and ground almond powder in a bowl add required amount of olive oil and rose water and make it into a paste.

Apply this paste on your face and leave it to sit for 5 to 8 minutes, then use the tip of your fingers to gently rub the paste in circular strokes. Do this process for about 5 to 10 minutes and then wash it off with water, repeat this procedure for two to three times in a week to see effective results.Remove-Unwanted-Facial-Hair

Oatmeal scrub: Has a grainy texture which makes it a good exfoliating agent for facial skin, oatmeal contains antioxidants belonging to the class avenathramide and hence is able to protect the skin from damages caused to the skin by the UV rays of the sun and reduces redness of the skin caused due to exposure to sun rays. When you use oatmeal with other natural ingredients as a scrub for hair removal, your skin becomes free of hair, smooth and hydrated.

The ingredient like lemon juice causes thinning and bleaching of hair and honey acts a moisturizer and hydrates the skin. Mix oatmeal, lemon juice and honey to get a paste apply this paste on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes, rub the face gently in circular motion for about five minutes on the areas of hair growth against the direction of hair growth, wash off the paste using warm water. Repeat the remedy 2-3 times in a week till the hair is completely removed.
