Nigeria’s ICT Company Secures $25m Funding To Build Digital Hubs (+Photos)

Nigerian ICT company, Zinox Technologies has secured $25 million in funding from the European Technology Trust Fund(ETTF) to build digital hubs in various parts of the country.

Two of the hubs are already under construction at the time of writing this report. One of them will be located in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, while the other will be in Abuja.

According to a report on Techloy, the fund will be used to speed up work on the hubs and make sure that they get completed as quickly as possible.

When completed, the hubs are expected to provide jobs for a lot of youths in the country in addition to being a platform for youths to acquire in-demand skills.

With the current improvements raising hopes of stability in public power supply by early 2017, the company plans to install the digital plants and commence production shortly,” said Zinox Group Chairman Leo Stan Ekeh.

Our investment in digital hubs will provide jobs for 500 Nigerians, with more expected to benefit from other investments set to commence once the economy stabilises.”

Zinox is one of the oldest ICT companies in Nigeria with market presence spanning over a decade. The company also used manufacture its own computers.
