Nigerian girl-child education advocate and filmmaker, Zuriel Oduwole was invited alongside Microsoft founder, Bill Gates and Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Ndaba Mandela to headline an event in Paris.
The event, which was organised by one of France’s largest social development NGO’s, Printemps Solidaire, had over 500,000 youths in attendance.
According to ThisDay, the event was to celebrate the power of youths in changing the perception of social issues across the globe.
As the head of Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up Foundation, Zuriel spoke about her experiences working on projects and initiatives thought to be for adults.
She also shared her idea of building an e-school platform for rural girls in West Africa, a similar platform she used for her full time home school.
She advised the youths to follow their passions, while explaining her experience of balancing being a youth, with her interests in girl education advocacy and film making.
