Ondo Lawmaker, Hon. Araoyinbo Appeals to Constituents on Power Outage
A member of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olumide Araoyinbo, has appealed to his constituents to exercise a little more patience as every effort is being made to ensure the timely restoration of electricity supply to the affected communities.
The lawmaker representing Akoko North-West Constituency 2 in the legislative house said that apart from raising a motion on this issue on the floor of the House of Assembly, he had also facilitated series of meetings at different fora with the affected consumers, community leaders, the power distribution company (Benin Distribution Company) as well as the Government of Ondo State.
He disclosed that a memorandum of understanding had been reached with the stakeholders on the modalities for restoring power supply to the communities. He therefore expressed optimism that his constituents would soon heave a sigh of relief as all hands are on deck to ensure timely implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding.
It would be recalled that Ogbagi, Irun, Ese, Afin and some communities in the constituency have been thrown into blackout since about one year ago.
