Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on Saturday, March 12 got married to his Benin bride, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor.
Although the monarch wasn’t present to perform the traditional wedding rites, he sent elders to represent him and to carry out the necessary procedures in his place.
The second part of the wedding which was the thanksgiving service then took place at the Oba’s palace in Ife.
The king and his new bride had an elaborate ceremony to celebrate their wedding. It was well attended by important dignitaries, celebrities and socialites.
This will be the Oba’s second marriage as his marriage to first wife, Adebukunola Ogunwusi, was said to have collapsed due to irreconcilable differences.
Ogunwusi ascended the throne after the demise of the former king, Oba Okunade Sijuwade who died on July 28, 2015.
