On this day in 2014 in Nigeria; Ministry of Finance announced that it had traced N58 billion unremitted revenue of the Federal Government to various bank accounts. It said the funds were ‘hidden’ by unscrupulous bank managers and collaborators in ministries, departments and agencies.
Also on this day in 2012 in Nigeria;former Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, warned of a difficult time ahead as she told the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja, that “government should buckle up and prepare for a possible recession” in the economy.
And on this day in 2014;The Federal Government of Nigeria began dialogue with the 104 Boko Haram suspects being detained in Lagos prisons.
