10. Bernard Hopkins ($40 Million)

He was born Bernard Humphrey Hopkins Jr. on 15 January 1965. Also known as the executioner or the alien, Hopkins is an American Professional Boxer who currently fights as light heavyweight and initially as middleweight. He first came into the limelight in 1988 after taking on Clinton Mitchell. Things didn’t work out for him though and he lost. His first major championship title came in 1995 after winning against Segundo Mercado in Landover, Maryland. Hopkins has won 55 of his 66 fights so far in the light heavy weight category.

Marvin Hagler was an undisputed World Middle Weight Champion for 7 good years from1980 to 1087; what a man. He retired in 1988 after his 7 year reign. Mr. Marvelous decided to venture into acting and boxing commentating.

Also known as the greatest, Ali’s greatest matches were against his core rivals George Foreman and Joe Frazer; he won both matches.

However, he was defeated in 20000 by Chris Byrd an American professional boxer. A tyranny of injuries forced him to hang up his gloves.

Sugar Ray Leonard is a former American Professional boxer who was born on 17th May 1956. He is being accredited for being the first boxer to earn $100 million in purses. Throughout his career he managed to win 36 out of 40 matches; he won 25 of the matches by knockout. His first championship title was against Wilfred Benitez at Caesars Palace. He retired in 1988 after his major comeback in 1983. He is currently a motivational speaker and occasional actor.

He was born Lennox Claudius Lewis on 2nd September 1965. The former British Canadian professional boxer is also known as ‘The Lion’. He was the WBC heavyweight champion in 1992; his opponent Riddick Bowe refused to face him. He won 41 fights out of the 44 throughout his career. Lennox retired in 2004 after a scintillating match against Klitschko in 2003. He has been acknowledged by joining the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
