Africa’s leading online travel management portal Wakanow has been shortlisted for the 2016 edition of the highly coveted Capital Finance International Award for Best One-Stop Travel Services Portal in Africa.
According to the organizers, the annual award seeks to recognize individuals and organizations that contribute significantly to the convergence of economies and value for all stakeholders.
Last year, Ernst & Young, PwC, HSBC, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Sahara Group, Virgin Money, Cisco Capital and Sage Group were some of the top brands recognized at the highly charged award ceremony.
Each year, successful nominees are shortlisted through voting by readers, subscribers, contributors such as the World Bank Group, including the International Finance Corporation, United Nations organizations, EU bodies and global business groups.
The Chief Marketing Officer of Wakanow, Mrs. Victoria Onwubiko, said that the award nomination is a demonstration of Wakanow’s leadership position as a fast-growing indigenous brand with a global outlook.
