General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State have tasked Nigerians on the need to maintain peace and unity in the country.

Speaking at the dedication of the remodeled headquarter parish of Region 19, Dominion Sanctuary of RCCG at Ogba, Ikeja in Lagos, they expressed happiness at the developmental strides of the church.

In his message, Gov. Ambode said: “It gladdens my heart to be part of the dedication of this sanctuary in which I had the grace and privilege to serve as a worker. The memory of this great sanctuary transcends the physical for every member and non-member of this parish that has contributed one way or the other to the completion of this beautiful edifice.pastor EA Adeboye, RCCG, House

“As clergies and Christians, we must continue to pray for peace and unity for our people.”

In his sermon titled: ‘Dream-like miracles’, Pastor Adeboye said: “When God gave me the dream of the model parish, I spoke with three young professionals; one of them immediately told the others he’s not going to be part of it.

“The other two didn’t quite see the light and they left. And one of the two was visited by God and he started the first model parish at Ladipo Oluwole Street, Ikeja on May 22, 1988, and the church grew very rapidly with a membership of almost 1,000.

“But then the devil struck and the young man decided to leave and as you have been told he left behind a congregation of a few families.”
