Afro B Drops Visuals For French Montana Assisted ‘Joana’ Remix

Last year, UK-based Ivorian singer, Afro B dropped the immensely catchy “Drogba (Joanna)”, which Wizkid later hopped on for a solid remix. Now, the viral song is set to get even more attention, as he’s just dropped the video for the latest remix, featuring French Montana.

Much like the Wizkid-assisted remix, this new iteration smartly retains the original song’s best qualities: the exceptional Team Salut-produced beat and Afro B’s catchy chorus. For his contribution, French Montana drops a smooth bridge and an expectedly solid verse.

Directed by Allie Avital, Afro B has definitely made up for not releasing a video for the Wizkid-assisted remix with this new cheerful and vibrant video. The video follows “This Is America” choreographer, Sherrie Silver, as she goes around spreading cheer to everyone she meets.

Granted, neither of these remixes surpasses (or even reaches) the magic of the original track, but we understand why they exist. So, for that reason alone, we hope this French Montana-aided spin has the desired effect — introducing one of 2018’s best songs to a much wider audience.
