Nigeria’s premier Afro- fusion artist, Burna Boy is back again on another strong international collaboration as he predominantly assists in the DJ Snake cut ”no option”, off his recently released Carte Blanche Album.
Burna Boy’s versatility is once more on display in this super cool electro-reggae cut. In typical Rastafarian fashion, he sings in strong patois about ghetto life and government neglect. It is a testament to Burna Boy’s enormous talent that he could effortless ride over a fusion of reggae and electronic music, as he’s done with the plenty other African music genres he has continued to fuse on his music.
This is coming on the heels of a very strong year that has further established Burna Boy as a global brand. He was granted a solo track on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift and subsequently had fantastic performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live late night show.
DJ Snake, the two-time Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer, best known for his Lil Jon-assisted monster hit, “Turn Down For What”, had enlisted an impressive roster for LP which dropped earlier today. Joining Burna Boy are huge stars like Cardi B, J Balvin, 21 Savage, Offset, Selena Gomez and more.
