The Cato Foods and Agro Allied Global Concepts staged a 2 days workshop to promote increase production of the agriculture in the local industrialization at I.A.R.&T. Moore Plantation, Ibadan between 9AM – 4PM on 28th and 29th July, 2016.
The workshop at the commencement was graced by notable resource persons on Agricultural, Financing from bank of Industry, Bank of Agric, SMEEDAN, CBN, NEXIM, NEPC among others.

While declaring the workshop open, the Oyo State Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development who was able represented by Pastor Yode Ayanlowo said that the workshop is to address food security, Youth unemployment through Agriculture, Value chain and waste management. By adding value to the lives of the Youth farmers along the farm chain with the agricultural practices. Through which job creation, poverty alleviation and food security will be promoted.
The theme of the workshop is tagged: Explore wealth creation, opportunities in Agriculture.

In a chat with the HowNg reporter, the convener of the workshop, Mr. Pelumi Salas Aribisala, delve into the highlights of the workshop to show how loaded the workshop is. Among the highlights are; plantain farming: Fish Value chain; Cassava value chain; Grasscutter farming; Snail farming; Vegetable cultivation and value chain; Business opportunities in vitamin A Cassava value chain; Post harvest processing of fruits and vegetables and so on.

He further said that the workshop is loaded with lost of benefits among which are: Insight on exportation of Agric produce; Agricultural financing; Land access for agricultural purposes; Certificate for all participants and free E-books for first 20 people to register.

Mr. Pelumi Salas Aribisala, reinstated that tomorrow which is the last day of the workshop will be purely practical and enjoyed participants and prospective participants to be seated as early as possible as the workshop will start at exactly 9AM.
