Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Nigerian rapper and Afropop singer, has announced the forthcoming sophomore edition of his ‘The Falz Experience’ live music concert.
According to the 28-year-old law graduate and Nollywood actor, the concert is scheduled to hold on June 8, 2019, at the Eko convention centre in Victoria Island, Lagos state.
The event would feature performances from Falz alongside his cohorts. With early bird tickets already sold out, it is assumed that the show will surpass the record-breaking 100 million views recording by the debut edition in 2017.
Speaking on the concert, the ‘Soft Work’ crooner said the event promises to be interactive and fan-oriented.
“My fans are the core of my career. I am nothing without their love and support and that’s why I’m putting the Falz Experience together, just for them,” he said.
“I would love to see their predictions on how my show would go by engaging in conversations with me on social media with the hashtag #WhatWillFalzDo. It’s a music concert that will incorporate different elements of my art, with support from the many colleagues I have collaborated with and of course, my fans.”
Even with his career spanning only a decade, Falz – who only “had his big break in 2015” – has made a name for himself in the country’s entertainment industry, winning numerous awards.
Asides his 2016 BET Award for the category ‘Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act’, Falz also earned himself an AMVCA in 2016 and 2018 for his role in Nollywood movies, among others.
In a recent listicle released by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), the gifted singer was ranked the highest grossing Nollywood actor for 2018, having earned himself a total of N513 million.
