– Five facts about the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament ahead of the 2016 finals in Rwanda from Saturday:
— Democratic Republic of Congo defeated Ghana 2-0, Tunisia outplayed Angola 3-0 and Libya beat Ghana 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the previous three finals.
— The maiden tournament in 2009 produced 30 goals in 16 matches (average: 1.8), the 2011 finals delivered 59 in 32 games (1.8) and the 2014 tournament provided 73 in 32 matches (2.2).
— Zambian Given Singuluma holds the individual record for goals at a CHAN tournament, scoring five in 2009 in the Ivory Coast, where his country finished third.
— DR Congo and Zimbabwe are the only countries to have qualified for all four CHAN tournaments while Guinea will be the lone debutants in Rwanda.
— Cameroon and Tunisia have never lost a match at the CHAN finals while Ethiopia and Rwanda have yet to win a game. Zimbabwe have drawn the most matches — six of 12.
