
The highly publicized Beat FM Christmas concert which took place on Sunday, December 20, at Federal Palace Hotel saw UK Grime artistes Skepta, Stormzy, Krept & Konan, as well as some of Nigeria’s finest thrill their fans with their electrifying performances. Guests were held spell bound with each performance, as they stood on their feet till the wee hours of the morning.
South London rapper, Stormzy, who announced on stage that he was of Ghanaian descent performed a number of hit songs like “Not That Deep”, “Know me from”, “0 to 100” and others.
Joseph Adenuga popularly known as Skepta gave a shout out to his parents, who came to watch him perform at the Beat Fm Christmas Concert. He did a couple of his songs, including the chart topping “Private Caller”.
The duo of Krept and Konan got fans screaming and singing along to songs like “Freak of the week”, “Young and Reckless” and several other songs.
BET International Act of 2015, Stonebwoy from Ghana was also on ground to give the audience some dance-hall vibes.
The Nigerian acts were not left out in the fun as they each stepped out in their A-game. There were performances by Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, Lil Kesh, Yemi Alade, Falz the bahd guy, Tekno, Phyno, Bracket, Seyi Shay, Sound Sultan, YCee, Iyanya, Wande Coal and a host of others.
Olamide and Davido gave an energetic performance of their most recent collaboration “The Money”, while Wizkid joined Skepta to do his hit song, “Ojuelegba.”
While Speaking at the Beat Fm Christmas Concert, GM Megalectrics Limited, Deji Awokoya commented,“We’re happy to have fulfilled a lot of people’s Christmas wish as we organized an unbeatable show. It was a once-in-a-lifetime show and definitely one to remember”.
