Reports have it that the goalkeeper of Premier League club Cardiff, Neil Etheridge only saves penalties from players who share US Presidents’ names.
The keeper has saved three penalties in the Premier League this season – all from players who share names with American presidents.
Already the first Filipino to play in the top flight, Etheridge’s spot-kick heroics have now made him a true statesman.
The 28-year-old was into his stride straight away, thwarting Callum Wilson when the Bluebirds launched their Prem return with a 2-0 loss at Bournemouth.
And in Cardiff‘s very next game he denied Kenedy, preventing ten-man Newcastle turning a 0-0 draw into a last-gasp 1-0 victory.
Then on Saturday the London-born No 1 frustrated James Maddison – before Victor Camarasa hit a 92nd minute winner for the Bluebirds.
