NFF Appoints Gernot Rohr As Super Eagle’s New Technical Adviser

After a failed bid to sign Frenchman, Paul Le Guen as the technical adviser of the Super Eagles, the Nigeria Football Federation have appointed Gernot Rohr.

Gernot Rohr has signed a two-year contract to work as the National team’s technical adviser and he will be assisted by Chief coach, Salisu Yusuf.

The 63-year-old manager has worked with the national teams of Burkina Faso and Niger and the NFF said about him, “The committee was impressed with Mr. Rohr’s profile and current activities for the German Football Federation”

“He was very positive, showed great interest in the job and is ready and willing to work in Nigeria. He is also willing to work with indigenous Nigerian coaches ad with the committee, and believes the Super Eagles can qualify for the 2018 FIFA World cup, which is very important to the NFF’
