Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has been names Seattle Sounders’ most outstanding player in 2015 by the official website of Major League Soccer(MLS).
Speaking on Martins, Editors of mlssoccer.com said: “Named club MVP for 2015, and it’s hard for us to argue with that pick.”
Martins, who had earlier been named the Most Valuable Player(MVP) by his club at the end of the season, has been consistent in the ranks of Seattle Sounders this year notching up 15 goals in 24 MLS appearances.
His impressive displays also earned him a recall into the Super Eagles for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers against Swaziland in November under the watchful eyes of head coach, Sunday Oliseh.
The 31-year-old Nigerian striker had a successful season with The Rave Green in the MLS, which is a good achievement to Obagoal’s career, and it was no surprise he was adjudged club’s most outstanding player in 2015.
