Do These Office Exercises If You Sit For Longer Hours

Most people spend long hours by sitting every day in front of a computer which will eventually have an effect on their health and fitness, so if you are the type that sits on the system for longer hours, here are some effective exercises that you can do anywhere to stay in shape.

Office exercises are also known as ‘deskexercises’, they are simple-to-learn as well as easy-to-practice movements that are perfect for everybody especially people with desk-bound jobs.

1. Tapping your feet: This exercise can be done without leaving your seat, you just need to tap your feet on the floor slowly like you are running then you can increase the speed gradually. This exercise works directly on your leg muscle and will increase your heart rate which will improve throughout your body.

2. Your elbow to Knee: This is another exercise that can offer great movement to your body and work directly on your abdominal muscles. Sit straight on your chair, place your hands at the sides of your head then bend your whole body to the left side, raise your left leg while your right elbow in the direction of your knee stay like that for 5 to 10 seconds and relax. You can then change to the other side and repeat the process again.

3. The praying Position: This is one of the best desk exercises for your arms which can be done anywhere, just sit straight on your chair with your feet flat on the floor, bring your palms to your chest place them together like you are praying then push them outwards while still keeping your palms together.

4. The shoulder stretching: If you are the type that spends most of your time sitting in front of the computer and looking at the screen, your shoulders will definitely need to be stretched at intervals. This exercise can be done by lifting both shoulders up like you are shrugging, hold that position for 5 to 10 seconds and relax you can repeat for like 10 to 15 times at intervals.
