Olamide Adedeji, Nigerian rapper, has been on the front seat of Twitter trends ever since Maria Okan, an on-air personality (OAP), revealed that she was 8-month pregnant.
The media personality had recently taken to her Instagram account to confirm that she is expecting a child.
“My 1st baby shower!!! I’m exhilarated that my friends & fam planned it for my birthday!!! Thank you Chief Aunty Dam$, my dope friends and Grandparents-To-Be! Oh my, you guys – I’m overwhelmed by your super sweet comments/messages/DMs/gifts! I’m too happy to type LOL,” she wrote.
She also confirmed that the pregnancy is 8-month old.
Moments after she shared photos of her baby bump, rumours started to swirl on social media platforms that Okan’s unborn baby belongs to Olamide — who is also a father two kids.
The news is coming at a time when the talented singer welcomed a second child with Adebukumi Aisha, his fiance and long-time girlfriend, who resides in the United States.
Social media users also claimed that Okan, who co-hosts Beat FM’s show ‘The Morning Rush’, had approached Olamide and demanded the sum of N2 million to foot medical bills for the termination of the pregnancy — which he allegedly gave.
The OAP, according to reports, changed her mind; and decided that she would keep the baby. She is also said to have “resigned” from Beat FM and left for London with the money.
Although Olamide is yet to confirm or deny the narrative, Nigerians have been drawing conclusions on social media platforms and airing their divergent opinions ever since.
Olamide had proposed to Adebukumi, a longtime girlfriend, in 2018. Since then, fans have been looking out for the singer to call the marriage shots — having reportedly been with her since 2011.
