While women are definitely not in competition with the male gender on moustache, there are many ladies who dealing with the embarrassing upper lip hair.
Upper lip hair removal means a trip to the salon every month to wax it off (ouch!) or to thread it or to undergo electrolysis and don’t even get me started on electrolysis not done properly!
If you are ready to save yourself some cash and stop the incoviniece of going to the salon regularly just for your upper lip. Here are a few simple home remedies that work just as well, and in some cases, even better.
Turmeric and milk, or water
Mix a little turmeric powder and milk to form a paste. Apply it on your upper lip area. When dry, scrub it off, removing hair as well.
Lemon juice, sugar and water
A paste of lemon, sugar and water works on fine upper lip hair. Apply and let it remain for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.
Egg white and corn flour, mixed with sugar
Take one teaspoon of corn flour and sugar to the white of an egg. Apply to your upper lip. Peel off when dry to become hair-free.
Sugar and lemon, cooked to make homemade wax
Heat 2 teaspoons of sugar. Add one teaspoon freshly-squeezed lemon juice and make a paste. When cool, put on the unwanted hair. Take a cotton strip and place it on the hair. Press the cloth down and pull it up quickly.
White flour, turmeric and cold milk
White flour, turmeric and cold milk are mixed to form a thick paste. Add a little fresh malai to the paste before applying it to your upper lip. Let it stay for half an hour. After it dries, rub it gently against the direction of hair to remove hair.
