The SACMT: Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation, Showcasing Nigeria’s Young Football Talents

The Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Mini-Tournament (SACMT) is the eponymous charity event organised under the auspices of the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation.

Named after him, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi is an African icon who has a burning desire to see to the development of indigent children in the society.

He has contributed in no small measure to different philanthropies aimed at the advancement of youngsters. Some portion of his stellar works incorporates his contribution with the Parents Against Autism Initiative (PAAI) and Courage Education Foundation (CEF) which sponsors hundreds of children from review school through tertiary associations.

The SACMT is an annual football event designed to raise funds through the instrumentality of football and music to support three main causes:
* Education of intelligent and indigent children particularly through the Courage Education Foundation
* The celebration and enhancement of U-13 and U-15 footballers while highlighting to them the need for a proper education.
* To support the education of intelligent and talented young footballers.

Since its maiden edition that took place on Sunday 28th December, 2014, the SACMT has grown to
become a household event. It has attracted the interest and participation of ex-internationals, top
dignitaries and many well meaning organisations.

Each edition engenders the opportunity to fete and showcase the numerous young but very talented
Ekofootball stars. This convivial atmosphere also allows us to cater for over a thousand people in the
Campos area of Lagos Island and its environs.
The 2016 edition, took place at the Campos Memorial Mini-Stadium, Lagos Island, which has been the venue since inception. It was much bigger than the previous two editions.
2017 edition coming up on 29th December will be a bigger and better edition because one of its highlights is that notable and prominent stars like Ali baba are playing against Amaju All stars.
