As humans we live to co-exist but in our relationships with one another, we can’t help but step on one another’s toes whether knowingly or unknowingly.
Our celebs are not left out, after all they are still humans and that is why we want to look at those who were at loggerheads this 2015.
Keep in mind that some of these issues have been resolved
This has got to be one of the biggest beefs that had us all talking when former label mates Wizkid and Skales went at each other’s throats on social network, Twitter.
What caused the ruckus? Skales accused Wizkid of being fake and oh my, Wizkid’s body shake no be small.
Accusations flew left, right and center and we sure can’t forget the part when Wizkid said he would help Skales finish his dead career.
Interestingly the man who brought both of them together, EME boss Banky W was silent through it all.
Tonto Dikeh and Gideon Okeke
Everyone knows that Tonto Dikeh is always embroiled in the middle of one controversy or the other so 2015 couldn’t have been complete without her getting into something.
Funny though, Tonto was the wronged party in this case because actor Gideon Okeke actually shaded her about her marriage to Oladunni Churchill.
Tonto’s best friend, celebrity stylist Jeremiah Ogbodo lashed out on her behalf but trust that Tonto must add her own.
In her response to Gideon’s shade, she said she doesn’t even know who he is. She might have been in the right in this case but can we forget that issue of the bag controversy?
Yvonne Nelson vs. John Dumelo
These two Ghanaian movie stars used to be best friend and so close were they that we all thought they were an item.
Then trouble hit their paradise after Yvonne accused John Dumelo of being an ass kisser while John Dumelo blasted her for seeking attention.
It all had to with Yvonne’s #DumsorMustStop campaign and just like Wizkid and Skales fight, the beef between these two was done on Twitter for all of us to witness.
Psquare vs. Soundcity
The sensational singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye that make up P Square are easily the biggest music stars to have come out of Africa so when they got into a disagreement with Soundcity TV, trust that we all were interested in the issue.
Soundcity TV stopped playing P Square’s songs and Peter Okoye asked fans to boycott the station and listen to other ‘greater’ channels.
The urban music channel later explained in a statement that despite how much time and effort they have invested into P Square’s career, they were still charging them exorbitantly to come perform at an event.
That was one really messy disagreement because Jude Okoye also waded into the matter.
Sean Tizzle vs. Basketmouth
This one happened towards the end of this year and it was between Nigerian singer Sean Tizzle and ace comedian. Basketmouth.
Just like in the case of P Square and Soundcity, it had to do with the issue of charging for a show with Basketmouth blasting the “Sho Lee” singer for charging too high.
Baskemouth didn;t stop there but also blacklisted Sean from any of his future shows.
Sean Tizzle later explained that he wasn’t the one that charged but his management and that Basketmouth should have reached out to him personally rather than calling him out.
Stella Damasus vs. Toyin Aimakhu
Nollywood screen divas Toyin Aimakhu and Stella Damasus gave us something to talk about sometime in February of this year when Toyin put Stella on blast for allegedly snatching another actresses’ husband and son.
It is common knowledge that Stella is lovers with film producer Daniel Ademinokan who was formerly married to actress Doris Simeon.
The insults Toyin threw at Stella was not small and Stella responded back in full force asking if Doris’ son is missing as well responding to the jibe Toyin threw about Stella’s visa expiring.
Caroline Danjuma vs. Cynthia Morgan
“German Juice” hit maker Cynthia Morgan came under a lot of criticism when she revealed thecover art for her song “Babymama” which saw her holding a baby with an unlit cigarette in her mouth.
Many people called the singer out for the inappropriateness of the photo and among them is former actress and billionaire wife Caroline Danjuma.
Caroline expressed her concern about the photo and said it was wrong but Cynthia wasn’t about to take that on the down low.
She fireed back calling Caroline hypocritical and also saying the only Caroline she knows is Daisy.
AKA vs. Cassper Nyovest
The bad blood between South African rappers AKA and Cassper Nyovest is one that has been running for a long time now and we can say it didn’t just start in 2015.
The beef has seen both rappers release diss tracks aimed at each other. The cause of the beef is uncertain but mainly believe it is deeply rooted on who is the bigger star of the two and who has the biggest songs.
One thing we sure love about the beef is that it has produced some great tracks.
Yvonne Nelson vs. Shatta Wale
Don’t ask why Yvonne Nelson is making the list again, the leggy actress has had her fair share of controversy this 2015. This time around she was involved in a beef with Ghanaian producer cum singer Shatta Wale.
According to reports, Yvonne Nelson was having an interview with a media house when one of Shatta Wale’s bodyguards pushed her and the actress went off the hook.
Despite attempts to calm her down, she raked and raked and raked. In subsequent interviews, Yvonne said she is disappointed in Shatta Wale while he said she spoke like a bush girl.
Dr. Sid vs. Dbanj
The actual beef started out with singer D Banj and his former business partner and producer Don Jazzy but things took a surprising twist when in an interview, D Banj accused former label mate Dr. Sid for being the cause of the rift between himself (D Banj) and Don Jazzy.
None of us saw that coming as we always believed the rift had to do with D Banj signing to international rapper Kanye West’s label.
