Why I Can’t Date Men Who Live On Mainland Lagos – Moet Abebe

Moet Abebe, a media celebrity, says she cannot date guys from Lagos’s mainland.

In an interview with reality TV star Tolani Baj, Abebe stated that calling someone on the mainland late at night may result in excuses such as being too late or being concerned about police presence as reasons not to meet.

“I have always said this thing, I cannot necessarily date someone that lives on the mainland,” she said.

“I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come.”

In 2021, Abebe stated her disinterest in marriage, dubbing it a “fraud”.

She revealed in June that she had been in a “abusive” relationship with her ex-fiance for roughly two and a half years.

She recently spoke on how cultural pressure causes many women to marry for the wrong reasons.

“I have just noticed that a lot of people are getting married for the wrong reasons. A lot of people are doing it because of pressure,” she said.

Known for her roles as a TV presenter, video jockey, and OAP, Abebe has also ventured into acting.

She has starred in various movies and TV series, including ‘Red Card’, ‘Oasis’, and ‘Living Arrangement’.
