World Bank to give Enugu Community N40m for rural development

ENUGU—THE World Bank in conjunction with Enugu authorities has earmarked over N40 million to four communities within the state for the provision of health, electricity, housing and water projects. wolda} bank Among the beneficiary communities are Umualor and Amede in Isi-Uzo government area whereas Olido and Umuadonuowo are in Igboeze North government area severally. Speaking at the formal presentation of the 1st percentage of the fund to every one of the communities, the final Manager of the State Agency for Community and Social Development Project, CSDP, Dr. Maximus Asogwa, explained that the World Bank aided comes were in line with the policy thrust of the state government. Asogwa who used the 2 days event to indicate case the activities of the CSDP in numerous communities, urged “the leaders of the beneficiary communities to create even-handed use of the fund,” commending Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s government “for providing its counterpart fund yet as making an enabling environment for an accelerated rural development within the state.” in line with Asogwa, the communities are allowed to decide on the projects they required, construct the projects themselves with the funds given them and the projects are handed over to them after execution.
