Ireti Osayemi-Bakare is a stunning actress and television personality known for her exceptional script reading and role interpretation abilities. Early Life and Education
Ireti Osayemi was born in Liberia on January 14, 1982. During the Liberian civil war, she and her parents returned to Nigeria. She grew up in Lagos State and finished her education there. Ireti continued her education at Lagos’ Ajumoni Secondary School, where she received her West African Leaving Certificate after finishing primary school.
She later attended Lagos State University in Ojo, Lagos, where she majored in economics and earned a bachelor’s degree.
Career
After entering the Nigerian film industry in 1999, Ireti Osayemi began acting in Nollywood films. She made her Nollywood debut in Emeka Duru’s film, and a role in Laide Bakare’s film, alongside Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus, and Odunlade Adekola, marked her first appearance in Yoruba films.
She made her acting debut in the film “CASSANOVA,” and she has remained well-known in the industry ever since. She has appeared in over a hundred Nollywood films, including Onfa Ife, Tomo Tiya, Squad Twenty-Three, and The Return of Jenifa.
Personal Life
Ireti Osayemi married Nollywood film producer Bakare ‘Bakky’ Adeoye in 2008, and the couple has two children. She gave birth to her first child in 2007, before they married, and they welcomed their second child in 2009.
There has recently been speculation that she and her husband are divorcing. The legendary actress denied it, claiming that only rumor mongers could have concocted such a rumor.
