Early Life
Rachael Okonkwo, a well-known Nigerian movie actress and dancer, was born in the late 1980s to Mr. and Mrs. Okonkwo.
Rachael was born on May 26th, 1987 in Ukpata, Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria’s southern state.
She attended elementary and secondary school in Enugu, where she earned her First School Leaving Certificate as well as her West African School Certificate.
Career
Okonkwo debuted in the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, in 2007. She wanted to join before, but she didn’t get any movie roles, so she started dancing.
Rachael rose to prominence in 2014. ‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka,’ an Igbo indigenous film produced and directed by Mac Collins Chidebe, catapulted her to fame. A film that went on to become an indigenous blockbuster.
Rachael is also a philanthropist; she founded a platform to help the poor and underprivileged in society.
