Starr, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, became a viral sensation after releasing her hit single ‘Bloody Samaritan’ in 2021.
The vocalist rose to prominence in the industry while signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records label.
Starr was among the Nigerian musicians nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards.
Her hit song ‘Rush’ earned her a first-time nomination for ‘Best African Music Performance’.
Tyla, a South African vocalist, triumphed against the music celebrity.
In May, she released her second studio album, ‘The Year I Turned 21′. The album follows the success of her 2021 debut, ’19 & Dangerous’.
With countless prizes and accolades, Starr has emerged as one of the continent’s most promising artists.
