Cremonese Place £7m Price Tag on Super Eagles Striker Cyriel Dessers

Cremonese have placed a £7million price tag on Rangers target Cyriel Dessers.

Sports Mail revealed last week that Dessers was on a list of strikers under consideration at Rangers.

The Scottish club, who are poised to confirm the addition of goalkeeper Jack Butland are understood to have made a significant opening offer.

Cremonese, on the other hand, are looking for more than the nearly £6 million cost paid to Genk for the 28-year-old last summer.

The forward, who has four caps for Nigeria, was previously the top scorer in the 2021-22 UEFA Conference League during a hugely successful loan spell with Feyenoord. He has also played for Lokeren in Belgium, as well as NAC Breda, FC Utrecht, and Heracles in the Netherlands.

Ike Ugbo of Troyes is another Nigerian youngster being watched by the Ibrox club, who have already begun their summer rebuilding with the additions of Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling.
