Selling out the O2 or performing there has become a defining feature of several Nigerian artists’ careers.
In January 2019, Davido sold out a concert venue, a significant achievement for any musician.
In March 2022, the DMW record label boss repeated the feat.
The ‘Assurance’ hitmaker released his fourth album, ‘Timeless’, on March 31, 2023.
On April 10, the album ranked 37th on the US Billboard 200 chart.
On August 3, ‘Timeless’ topped one billion streams across all major platforms.
Davido received his first Grammy nomination in three categories, including ‘Best Global Album’, for his current album, ‘Timeless’.
Others include ‘Best African Performance’ for his song ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Best Global Music Performance’ for his song ‘Feel’.
With a flurry of prizes and accolades, Davido has cemented himself as a notable figure in the African music industry.
