Giving Birth at 16 Was Darkest Time of My Life – Davido’s Cousin Folashade

Davido’s cousin, Folashade Adeleke, claims that giving birth at the age of 16 was the worst period of her life.

In a recent episode of the Say What You Know podcast, Folashade revealed that she became a mother at the age of 16 and suffered personal challenges.

The 31-year-old feels God gave her the ability to overcome humiliation because she hails from a prestigious family.

Despite the “darkest time in my life,” she had trust that God was with her.

“I am 31 years old, I have been a mother for 15 years. I was 16 years when I got pregnant,” she said.

“Understand that nobody can shame me if I know who I am. I always tell people whatever I go through is my testimony.

“God had to give me some type of supernatural power to hold my head high and not to be shamed, especially coming from a well-known family.

“At first came fear, then came shame, regret, then neglect. That was the darkest time in my life but through the whole thing, God was with me.”

Folashade is the daughter of Ademola Adeleke, Osun state governor.

She married her husband, Aso Odus, in 2016. Their union, however, was dissolved due to assault charges. Kairo, their son, is their only child.
