Tonto Dikeh, a Nigerian actress, has criticised Tunde Bakare for his comments about Mohbad’s death.
On September 12, the 27-year-old artist died. The circumstances surrounding his death have sparked debate on social media.
Bakare recently stated that the late artist “reaped the reward of his unpleasant lifestyle while alive” in a sermon.
The preacher further claimed that the 27-year-old musician “associated with evil men” and was unaware that “he would soon be cut down in the prime of youth.”
Dikeh responded on her Instagram page, asking Bakare to “remove Mohbad’s name from your administration.”
She also urged the pastor to apply the same level of scrutiny and commentary on “your colleagues with s** scandals”.
“Dear pastor Tunde, When your colleagues are caught with their pants down in unholy sexual activities. We never hear your voice, you never speak nor preach about them,” she wrote.
“It comes to the death of a boy who is old enough to be your last born and you say ‘he reaped the reward of his actions. ‘What Actions?
“Please please please keep the same energy with your corrupted Colleagues as you just did today. It is the anointing of God upon your head that is making me not go off on this loose comment of yours.
“I have learned over the years that if you have nothing nice to say, Keep mute (do not talk at all). Preach your gospel and leave Mohbad’s name out of your ministration. I do not respect old age, I respect the wisdom you exhibit at old age.”
