Early Life 

Kate Henshaw was born into a lovely family of four. She is her parents’ first child, born on July 19, 1971 in Cross River, Calabar, Nigeria. Cross River State is a state in Nigeria’s southernmost region.

Kate was a focused and goal-oriented child growing up. Calabar was where she received both her elementary and secondary education. She obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and her West African Senior Certificate in this manner.

Kate was later admitted to the prestigious University of Calabar (UniCal), where she completed her remedial studies.

Kate Henshaw went on to study Medical Microbiology at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital’s School of Medical Lab Science (LUTH).


As a young adult, I was a go-getter and goal-oriented. Kate Henshaw began her career in the film industry (Nollywood).

Kate began her professional acting career in 1993. She then appeared in the Nollywood blockbuster film When The Sun Sets. Her performance in the film helped her and her career in general.

Notably, Kate played the lead in the film. Kate has risen to prominence as a result of her performance and expertise in explaining her role.
