Ladan Bosso, the former Flying Eagles coach, has been appointed to lead the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U17 Youth team on a tour to Spain.
Bosso’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expired following the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina. He now focuses on developing young players from NPFL youth teams.
“The main goal is to train these players so they can become key members of the Flying Eagles and Super Eagles in the future,” Bosso said.
From the 50 players invited, 23 will be picked for the final team, with two more on standby. The selection process has already started.
Bosso added, “We want to make sure the best players are chosen to represent Nigeria in Spain. They’ll play friendly matches against Spanish clubs to get ready for future national team roles.”
As the Head Coach of Bayelsa United, Bosso expressed his thanks for the opportunity to lead the team to Spain and praised NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye for the honour.
“I’m grateful to Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye for this chance. I believe these players will bring benefits to Nigeria.”
