Nigeria’s Bose Omolayo Wins Silver In 79kg Para Powerlifting

Team Nigeria has won yet another medal through Bose Omolayo who grabbed the silver medal in women’s up to 79kg Para Powerlifting at the ongoing Paralympic Games.

Omolayo has now finished on the podium for the third consecutive Paralympics, lifting 145kg to win a Silver medal, adding to the two gold medals she won in Rio and Tokyo.

Omolayo was visibly in discomfort coming for the third attempt, having injured her right arm after her first attempt, and scored two consecutive no-lifts, but she had done enough to secure a medal for her country.

She won Nigeria’s third medal on Saturday and now six medals overall.
