The Fountain of Life Church has announced the funeral arrangements for its late founder, Taiwo Odukoya.
Odukoya died on August 7th, at the age of 67, in the United States. The cause of his death is unknown.
According to an e-flier posted on the church’s Facebook page, a song service will be held in Odukoya’s honor on September 8, followed by a funeral the following day.
According to the e-flier, both ceremonies would take place at the church headquarters in Lagos’ Ilupeju neighborhood.
Odukoya’s death came less than two years after he lost Nomthi, his wife.
Nomthi, a South African, died on November 9, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Odukoya’s second marriage to Nomthi lasted 11 years and produced two boys.
Before Nomthi, Odukoya was married to Bimbo for 21 years.
She died in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, the Rivers capital.
Bimbo, who was also a pastor at Fountain of Life Church, was best known for establishing the “Single and Married” program, which has been well praised for training young people and couples for happy and lasting relationships.
Odukoya also lost his twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, to cancer complications in December 2021.
