Pheelz, Ebuka, E-Money Attend MTV VMAs Nominees Party in Lagos

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominees’ reception was recently held at the US Consulate in Lagos.

MTV Base presented the event, which was titled ‘Afrobeats Royalty’.

The VMA nominees party was a magnificent celebration of Afrobeats pioneers who are moving the industry forward and securing their place in music history.

In his remark, William Stevens, the US consul general, praised Afrobeats’ global success and its importance in strengthening cultural ties between Nigeria and the United States.

The evening included high-energy performances by some of Nigeria’s most talented artists.

The audience went wild as Ayo Maff performed his chart-topping hit ‘Dealer’. Dotty the Deity enthralled the audience with a passionate rendition of ‘Forever Sweet Valentine’, while Zadok had everyone moving with a medley of iconic Afrobeat anthems.

Pheelz also took the stage, playing his hit tune ‘Finesse’ alongside BNXN.

Celebrities who graced the event include Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Cohbams Asuquo, Director Pink, E-Money, Leo Dasilva, and Fiokee.

Others are Dorathy Bachor, Uti Nwachukwu, Saskay, VJ Adams, and Candy Bleakz.

Last month, the nominees for this year’s MTV VMAs were announced.
