Suleiman Isah, a Kano native who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann, has become a US citizen.
On December 13, 2020, Isah was 23 years old when he married Reiman, 46.
Ten months before their wedding, the couple met on Instagram.
Ms Reiman, a chef from Lindon, California, then flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony, which took place at the Barracks Mosque Panshekara.
Isah stated his intention to join the US Army in May 2023.
Isah celebrated becoming an American citizen on his Facebook profile on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to served in the world strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become a citizen of the United States of America. I am now an American,” he wrote.
