Why Single People Shouldn’t Marry Under Pressure – Faith Oyedepo

Faith, David Oyedepo’s wife, has advised single people not to marry under pressure.

In a recent social media post, the wife of the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide stated that people who rush into marriage often regret their decision.

The cleric also claimed that getting a good-looking spouse does not ensure the union’s success.

“Those of you who are still single, don’t marry under pressure. Don’t manage to marry and don’t hurry to marry,” she said.
“Because those who do end up in regret. You just understand that a really good catch may not make a really good match.
“If you’re in a relationship with an unbeliever, no matter how long that relationship has been on, the earlier you put a stop to it the better so it will not disrupt your glorious destiny.”

David and Faith tied the knot in 1982.

Their union is blessed with four children – David Jnr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce.

During their 38th wedding anniversary in 2020, they both pledged to love each other forever.

“The journey thus far has been awesome with you by my side. You have been the true definition of a virtuous woman,” David told his wife.

Faith told her husband in March 2023 that she “had a miscarriage” after seeing blood pour from her roughly four decades earlier while pregnant with her first son.

She claimed that in his reaction, Oyedepo brazenly told her that “you can’t have a miscarriage” before requesting to be served his lunch.

Faith claimed that her husband’s comments “activated the spirit of faith, and the pregnancy was sustained.”

Faith, commemorating their 40th anniversary in May 2023, emphasized the importance of a Christ-centered marriage.
