WROF Inc. Announces Scholarship Award Recipients

The Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation (WROF), Inc. is pleased to announce six recipients of their Premier Scholarship Awards Program, which awards a total of $13,000 in tuition and educational expenses for postsecondary educational opportunities to rural Wisconsin high school seniors.

David Thompson of Woodville is the winner of the $5,000 Premier 2023 Scholarship Award. David’s ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment inspired him to pursue a degree in engineering at UW-Stout, which he combined with his agricultural background. He is excited to give back to the agricultural industry that has shaped him into the person he is today. David is a Baldwin-Woodville High School graduate.

Ava Endres of Waunakee and Brandon Boyd of Watertown were also among those who received $2,500 scholarships. Cole Meier of Monroe, Kortney Sebranek of Lone Rock, and Lucas Kramer of Wauzeka were all awarded $1,000 Premier Scholarships.

“WROF, Inc. celebrates our 2023 Premier Scholar, David Thompson, and the five additional high school senior recipients! They represent the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and doers,” states WROF President Joan Behr. “All share a deep desire to work and live in Wisconsin when they graduate from their next level of studies. We look forward to their leadership and career contributions within rural Wisconsin.”
