Over 2000 University of Nigeria (UNN) students in Enugu state received training in emerging technologies.
The workshop was hosted by Techy Jaunt and CP Hub Sahara, two technology-oriented companies.
The course was named “Beyond the Campus Walls: Building a Tech Career as a Student”.
Techy Jaunt is a prominent community of tech enthusiasts who onboard and educate people about upcoming technology.
ICP Hub Sahara serves as the official hub for the internet computer protocol in West Africa.
During a panel discussion at the workshop, Adedayo Adebajo, co-founder of ICP Hub Sahara, discussed how to start a career in IT.
He discussed the necessity of having a growth mindset when learning and developing new technology abilities.
The CEO urged students to embrace continual learning and flexibility in today’s fast changing technology ecosystem.
Speaking to journalists following the event, he stated that the forum provided an opportunity for young people to pursue professions in technology.
He stated that Techy Jaunt and ICP Hub Sahara’s engagement demonstrates their commitment to developing the future generation of IT talent and giving students with the information, tools, and mentorship required to prosper in the digital age.
The tech event was attended by important ICT players such as Okechukwu V.A, co-founder of Blockchain UNN Enugu.
Others include Dimeji Falana, CEO and co-founder of Edves, and Eliezer Ajah, talent development lead at Genesys Tech Hub.
