38-Year-Old Paystack Co-founder, Shola Akinlade, Buys Danish Club ‘Aarhus Fremad’

Shola Akinlade, a Nigerian software engineer and co-founder of online payment platform Paystack, has entered the European football market after finalizing the purchase of Danish second division club Aarhus Fremad.

 

“We have looked at the date correctly, and yes – it is good enough Aarhus Fremad has closed an agreement today, which means a new owner in the club. We are very much looking forward to the collaboration and eagerly await what the future brings us,” the club’s statement read.

 

According to the article, Mr Akinlade, who is located in the United States of America, purchased a 55% stake in the club, making him the dominant owner of Aarhus Fremad.

 

After founding Sporting Lagos F.C in 2022, the 38-year-latest old’s venture in football is Aarhus Fremad F.C, which is presently leading the Danish second division by six points and is on route for promotion to the top level at the end of the season.
