Biography Of Nigerian Singer and Record Producer, Dare Art Alade

Dare is a Nigerian multi-platinum Afro-R&B singer, composer, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is also the creative director of Livespot360 and the son of Art Alade, a well-known African jazz musician and entertainer.

Early Life & Education

Dare Art Alade was born on February 9, 1982, in Lagos, Nigeria, into the family of renowned jazz musician Olapeju Alade, better known as Art Alade. He is Olapeju’s fifth and final child.

Career

Dare began singing with a number of choruses at a young age, including the Cathedral Choir and, later, the National Troupe of Nigeria Choir. At the age of 15, he began frequently performing in bars in and around Lagos, Ibadan, and other Nigerian cities. During one of those late-night sessions, he met a Cool FM executive, a top radio station, who admired his voice and ability to engage the audience. The tenacious young man began traveling between Cool FM and the University of Lagos, where he was studying music and performing with the Cappella group The Chordwebs. While working at Cool FM, he had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of radio production and marketing.

Dare has had a successful career as a radio and television personality, appearing as a coach, judge, and host on a variety of TV shows such as The Voice Nigeria, Project Fame West Africa, and Nigerian Idol. He has also worked as a Master of Ceremonies, voice actor, and philanthropist.

Dare is a co-founder of Livespot360, the creative agency responsible for some of Nigeria’s most contentious performances. Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Cardi B, and Kim Kardashian, a worldwide super influencer and TV personality, have all performed at Livespot360-organized concerts and festivals that have set the standard for live entertainment in Nigeria.
