Chioma Chukwuka Biography, Husband, Movies and Net Worth

Chioma Chukwuka Akpota, popularly known by her stage name Chioma Chukwuka, is a 42-year-old Nigerian entertainer, actress, model, business mogul, and philanthropist. Over the course of her two-decade career, Chioma has won honors and appeared in films such as The Apple, Omo Ghetto: The Saga, and Wives on Strike 1, among others.

Early Life & Education

Chioma Chukwuka was born on March 12, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria. She hails from a town called Oraifite, situated in the Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. She had her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State before continuing her secondary education at Federal Government Girls College in Onitsha, Anambra State. Chioma then went on to study Banking and Finance at Lagos State University(LASU).

Career

In the year 2000, Chioma Chukwuka made her acting debut in the film The Apple. Chioma also appeared in the 2000 film The Handkerchief. For the film Sins of the Flesh, she won the African Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Lead Role” in 2007. In 2014, she received an African Movie Academy Award nomination for “Best Actress” in the film “Accident.” She has appeared in over 350 Nollywood films, produced six films, and won numerous honors during her 20-year career. Chioma has produced or co-produced over eight films, including the award-winning movie On Bended Knees. Chioma Chukwuka is also a mentor and a public speaker.

In the first month of 2019, Chioma Chukwuka launched Masterclass With Chioma. Masterclass With Chioma is a class where upcoming actors, screenwriters, and filmmakers, are taught by industry professionals how to make it in the movie and television industry.

Personal life

The actress, who has been married for over fifteen years, to Franklin Akpotha, has been very private with her union. She rarely shared their photos unlike other celebrities. But fans became alarmed when the Instagram page of the 42-year-old reverted to her maiden name ‘Chioma Chukwuka’.
