Dana Air Gifts Hilda Baci One-Year Free Tickets

The world-record-breaking cook Hilda Baci will receive a year’s worth of free domestic travel on Dana Air, according to the airline.

After cooking for more than 87 hours and 45 minutes on Monday, Baci broke the previous record established by Lata Tondon of India back in 2019.

The feat was achieved at the Amore Gardens, Lekki in Lagos.

The chef decided to go one step further by setting a new record of 100 hours after shattering Tondon’s cooking record.

While Nigerians praised Baci’s accomplishment on Twitter, the aviation business praised the chef in a statement as a “inspiration for greatness.”

A free ticket for Baci’s mother for three months was also announced by the corporation.

Dana Air stated that it will “always support the craft and innovations of young spirited Nigerians” in the statement.

“We have always blazed the trail in terms of support for the arts and entertainment industry, health care, and culture and our corporate social responsibility has been all-encompassing,” Ememobong Ettete, Dana Air CEO was quoted in the statement.

“We will be supporting Hilda’s local travels for one year and We are inspired by her strength and determination for greatness.

“We understand her mum is also a chef and she must have gotten this inspiration from her and in the light of this, we shall be supporting her mum with 3 months of local flights for free. We thank Hilda’s mum for giving us an amazing daughter and for being a huge support system to Hilda.”

President Muhammadu Buhari earlier lauded the young culinary expert for “making history and placing Nigeria in the global spotlight.”
