Davido is the Most Valuable Afrobeats Star on Instagram

According to the most recent Hopper HQ Social Rich Lists, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, has the most valued Instagram account in Nigeria, second in Africa, and 61st in the world.

According to the recently published ‘2022 Instagram Rich List,’ a single post by Davido on the social media site is worth $131,000, and the musician is worth $16 million. As of the time of this article, the ‘Timeless’ Afrobeats icon had 27.4 million Instagram followers.

Davido began his musical career in 2009 and has stayed active in the music industry to this day. He is a record producer, songwriter, and the founder of the DMW record label.In 2012, he released his debut studio album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ and received the Next Rated Award.

In January 2016, he inked a record deal with Sony Music and Sony RCA Records and added Dremo, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Liya to his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).In October 2016, the artist released a 5-song EP titled ‘Son of Mercy.’

He released five more singles in April 2017, including ‘If’ and ‘Fall,’ after renegotiating his music deal with Sony over creative control difficulties. ‘Fall’ went on to become a worldwide smash and Nigeria’s longest-charting pop single in Billboard history.

The multi-award-winning singer released his second studio album A Good Time in November 2019, which includes the single ‘Blow My Mind,’ which featured international American superstar Chris Brown.

On November 12, 2020, Davido released his third studio album, A Better Time, and was named one of the Next Time 100 world prominent persons. Time Magazine also rated him one of the greatest Afrobeats voices.

Spotify stated in July 2017 that his music had crossed 1 billion streams on the platform, following in the footsteps of prominent Afrobeats singers Wizkid, Burna Boy, and CKay.

Davido’s critically acclaimed studio album, Timeless, has shattered many international records since its March 31, 2023 release, well beyond critics’ expectations. Despite a partial leak, the 17-track album is sweeping the world’s charting platforms and setting new benchmarks for African musicians and Afrobeat performers.
